It was bound to happen sooner or later, and I'm pleasantly surprised that it lasted this long. I've been making 400+ awhp for a couple years, and am still on the original OEM clutch. The car never gets launched, but I do enjoy the occasional romp down the freeway on-ramp.

With almost 62k miles on the clutch, it finally let go yesterday. I did a 2nd & 3rd gear pull, backed off and did another 2-3 pull. Going into 3rd it just rev'ed and made that awesome smell.

Finally I get to replace it. I just wish I had all my pennies saved up for the parts. [IMG]

Thanks for the offer, but one of the vendors is going to do it for me. I used to love to do clutch swaps on DSMs, but now that I'm older and wiser (ahem) I think I'll let someone else do it. Someone with a lift... :)
