Does it change your stock boost level?

its a really distinct difference, the boost is smoother and you don't have the low end lag (or most of it) like the stock levels. And more tq than hp makes me happy, heheh.

What does it take to install a Cobb Stage 2 or 1 for that matter, as far as parts, and money

You would only want an uppipe if you have a '05 or earlier model. If you're on a budget, all stage two requires is an aftermarket downpipe, which can be had at around $250-300 for catless.

Cobb doesn't require an upgrade on the up-pipe for stg 1 or 2 Map. That would be optional...

    No, but it's highly recommended.

FYI, I went stage II for $125 for the TBE and reflash. $200 if you include the Prodrive uppipe, and that includes installation for both. ;)

I still have my stocker sitting in a shed that I need to sell, so my grand total will go back down once that's gone ;)

then you risk leaving a piece of cat in there and boom, turbo goes bye-bye, not worth the risk in my opinion. Get an ezr off ebay for $60 and call it good, you'll have to take the dp off anyways to get the uppipe on there so why not do it all at once?

Lots of people here have been doing that. I have not heard of any problems with gutting the pipe.

it took me 3 years to get to this point, but i figured i've spent ~$1800 in upgrades.

<---- Cobb Stage II as well...

    - Catless Invidia UP/DP (found combo pack for about $400 new!)
    - SPT Cat-back (I just got this and LOVE it!) (picked up used from Nuke's buddy for $300 used!)

Better air flow, 500 RPM or so sooner boost than before with catless up-pipe, smooth throughout, and feel very little lag under w00t keeping RPM's high!!!

    I love it!!!
