I was going to paint my calipers red, but I have the blue trim on the interior and now that I think about it...blue calipers would look good, not as bright as red would be...if I paint them blue I would replace my club stickers with blue ones too. I just want opinions...RED or BLUE!??????
That's why I kinda lean towards blue...I'm not trying to show them off:roll: just add some detail to the car
I agreed....think about it before you do it. My RS the pervious owner painted them red......just not my taste and the paint is fading also!!!
I've painted my calipers on other cars before and never had any chipping or fading. If you use the proper paint and clearcoat them enough, they will last for years.
Go race a cow and bring your friends above with you! I ASKED FOR OPINIONS ON THE COLORS RED OR BLUE!!! Not any other colors! Why can't I get some of the people that responded like in this other thread titled "advise wanted- painting calipers" ????
^agree. I'm partial to red on black but between the 2 choices I'd pick red. Unless it was a really dark metallic blue...
I think between the two I'd go with the red as well, it's a little more low key. If you can find a darker blue, that might work well though, as it'd match the blue metal flake in your paint.
THANKS guys!!! I will end up doing them red to match the other trim on the outside...the only reason I thought about the blue is because of the interior.
Im pretty anal like that too with everything matching... At least with the 06 the impreza and stars badges are a deep flake blue, so the calipers could be painted to flow with that. Do you have a better side shot to photoshop different colors? It might give a you a better idea what color to do...
uuummm unless your doors are glass who sees the calipers matching the interior unless you are parked and have all doors opened... and no I dont know where to RACE a cow... and I am 32 yrs old... so tell me something different cause I didnt pander to your question and gave you my own... but seriously... i would tend to lean towards the blue depending on what shade... again as said highlighting the stock brakes yells "HONDA' to me... though I have thought about it a time or two... also the blaxk was a GREAT suggestiont hat you shot down... I think a really nicely done black with clear would make it look real tidy but not rice... but hey you do what you want honda boy (j/K)... ha ha remember it is you car and whatever you end up doing do it well... that way its not as tacky
Why would you ask a group of people for their opinion, and get upset and defensive when they give it.
Read my original question and then read the first few response's I got back, and if you still have to ask...:kekekaugh: It's not like I'm mad at you, but when I get like three responses in a row saying paint them black, and ANGUSRACER is a dink. So don't take it personally.
wrxboy2003: and no I dont know where to RACE a cow... and I am 32 yrs old... so tell me something different cause I didnt pander to your question and gave you my own... LOL!!! WHAT?
just being a smartass cause of angusracer.... nothing towards you man... everyone who gets to know me knows 99% of the time when I say stuff its just fun... see my Fong comments...
It's all good...I know you weren't talkin to me...I just didn't understand your response...plus what fun is this if we can't give each other some crap
i actually like the red but preffer the black based on the fact that they are stock and wouldn't want to try to copy the people that spend thousands on upgraded brakes... try upgrading instead of faking it that would be much more sweet in my opinion
^^^ see angusracer... that wasnt any harder to post a disagreement on choice but still be constructive in the same post was it...??? now maybe if you continue in this fashion you will be around for some time yet...
Believe me, if I had the money to get Brembo's...I would. Maybe next tax return I will, but I'm spending alot already on other things for my car. Bottom line, color adds accent and more detail to the car, even if its black that is better than the rusty grey color mine are now. And they do make black Brembo's so would I be COPYING them if I painted them black?
^yeah, honestly, the majority of random people who see yr car probably wont know the difference between gold sti brembos painted black and black subaru 4-pots/2-pots painted gold. And yes, anything looks better than that sooty charcoal color... Besides, if its not over the top its not gonna attract attention from thieves... just haters. Keep us posted!
