compession

    how do i do a compession test on my car when i put in the compession tester my car starts rite up......and what should the compession be on a ej22 turbo..

    you have to disconnect your fuel pump first so that your car doesn't start.

    idk what the compression #'s should be though.

    it would be easier to unplug the coil pack on top of the motor

    i dont know what thenumbers should be, but make sure they are relavtively close. ie. 140,141,140,139 not 140,139,141,2. i just pulled these numbers outta thin air. IIRC when i comp tested my ej22 (NA) its was around 120ish. may or may not be relevant to your turbo motor.

    i just remove a spark plug and stick the tester into there and crank the car(do not start but just enough to crank it). atleast that was what i was taught in auto tech.
