    FYI

Maximum memory supported for XP is 4 gigs

The machine can handle 8 gigs, I'm sure that is what you meant though

That's a great price. If I hadn't just built a computer last spring I'd be looking to buy this one.

How is Vista support for that chipset? I ran into an issue with my chipset and Vista that doesn't allow me to run my SLI setup.

Good question.. Im been trying to figure this out myself, but no luck... This machine runs fast with or without 4 gigs... I ran 2 gigs and it ran fine... I think its just XP.... I heard and read many peeps having the same probs... But doesn't effect the performance...

If you run BelArc with 4 gigs physically installed, it will show 4 gigs.

2 gigs with XP is plenty of RAM.

Eitherway, this is a nice box

Vista alone is a headaches to setup.. Divers are always a problem for vista... Downloading drivers from sites instead of the provided software is better... As for this system, it has not yet seen vista... Currently running on XP pro sp2.. This thing runs fast with the crossfire setup and take you to a different level in gaming...

I agree, the 4GB problem isn't really a problem perse... It's just that XP is not capable to utilize everything that's there. When Windows 7.0 comes out this will likely be fully ready without growing pains.

    Install a 64 bit OS.

    A 32 bit OS can't address all 4 gigs.

As he said, the reason is to use all of your memory. 32bit OS's can only address 4 GB of ram (including any video memory).
