photos should all be displayed at the same time. save displaying them for the last second. otherwise its kinda like seeing everyone els' work so you know what you are up against. kinda unfair for someone who enters a photo early.
I agree. Also would be nice to keep all the pictures in the thread, even after one wins. I missed two of the pictures last month because they were added late.
NO. you can use any subject you want as long as its work safe. i actually think people should try to step away from the car thing when taking photos for the contest. i know its convienent to use a car you own as a subject. but relying on the "cool car" to make a photo look good is backwards. a good photo is a good photo no matter what its taken of. so be creative. its a photo contest too. not a coolest car contest. but a car photo if taken well deserves votes. i always vote for the photos that are well composed, clear, and interesting/creative. though i know not everyone takes photography as i do.
maybe next month have a size limit? i dont have a wide sceen computer so it all looks HUGE to me at least. idk maybe im alone on this.
flickr's medium size is what i use everywhere. when you go into the photo to view it. click All sizes (its above the image) and then pick what size. the URL will be below the image. idk if that helps ted.
you cant jut post them. you need to make sure no one knows whos photo is whos. read the rules. one photo per person.
woops.. i did but I guess with 4 kids etc I lost where I was between posting them and stuff.. I guess at least YOU always post perfectly on this forum hey
sorry if that came off a bit harsh. i was just trying to respond quick so ted or whoever might modify your post and get one of them up as a submission. my bad. im no post guru lol
thats ok.. was just butthurt.. er giving ya crap.. ha ha I did read over the rules, but didnt process them I guess ha haa
Sorry everyone! Work has been crazy and I've got 2 sick kids at home so there isn't much sleep to be had. Thanks for the reminder.
The voting really disappoints me right now, and not because I think I should be winning, but because there's definitely a better shot than mine in the contest, and it's not winning either. Gotta love generic glowstick photos.
What can you do? It's a photography contest on a subaru website. If you want a more professional contest, I'm sure there are other forums for that. I try to enjoy what everyone has submitted and not worry about the voting.
yeah i totally agree. only a few people on here can appreciate a good photo. i always submit mine knowing i wont win. i think part of it has to do with the fact that the photo size is making presentation an issue. i know most of those photos arent in the size of 800X800 like the rules say. at least more people didnt take pics of their cars this contest lol
