Great reporting. They're calling the vegetables on a slice of pizza vegetables, as they should. It counts if you have tomato sauce on spaghetti, it should count if you use that exact same sauce on a pizza. The argument is how much sauce constitutes a vegetable serving, it has nothing to do with pizza.
but Tomatoes are fruits not vegetables like most people believe. so calling pizza a veggie is not accurate at all.
