After about a month of asking my Mom to buy a Subaru she finally gave in, she said, "What do you think about those Tribeca's?" I said, "I don't know but I think you might like a WRX." She seems pretty set on getting a Subaru now but the question still stands on what to get. So after winter we are going to be shopping around for something sweet. *I hope she gets an STi*
+1 the subaru will be safe and have more control in the winter than most cars. the WRX got almost all 5's for crash tests in 09'
Winter can sometimes get ugly, whether u have a suby or not. Remember other drivers can lead you into this
ive always thought that a legacy 2.5gt would be a nice vehicular for a mom has some power but not enough for them to get to many tickets
I dont know if you are looking for new or used, but if you are looking for new you have a better chance of getting a Subaru w/o RE92s during winter. You pretty much cannot go wrong with any of the model. It all depends on what your mom wants to be able to do with the car. For practicality the Wagons (Impreza or Legacy) or Foresters cannot be beat! I dont know much about the Tribeca but 3rik seems to love his. And of course you know the selling points behind the STi and WRX. Although just a thought: I have heard quite a few STi owners say they would have prefered to get a Legacy GT sedan (04-09, 2010s werent out). You lose 50hp but gain alot in the comfort scale.
New Forester XT ftw. I wouldnt mind selling my sonata and getting one then I would have a pair of subies
