Coolant leak

Hey everyone I haven’t had time to search this and its a big deal so i need help fast. My 03 WRX has a leak at radiator reservoir what could be the cause of this? It didn’t happen until I got home and the car had sat for 10mins i walked outside to find the hood of my car pouring steam out of it? Any ideas? Are these known to leak?

 

Not sure, but that's what happened to my friends civic when it blew it's headgasket.

 

So i replaced the cap this morning and let it warm up. What i found out was that the coolant line coming off of the top of the turbo was Cut???? So if the car ran like that for awhile how long would it take to fry the turbo? I was driving the car for 1hr before I parked it for the night.

 

Return coolant line or what? That would matter.. cuz if its a return, the turbo was still getting cooling but not putting it back in the system. ...

 

I think it twas the return line. I am just going to replace the line and fill the system back up

 

Good!... Don't worry about the turbo. Unimportant!

 

your not going to fry a turbo with no coolant. most turbos don't come with a water cooled cartridge.
