that is one sexy f'in car if you ask me!:yumyum: to establish proper credibility cuz i have to:roll:....http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1652227&highlight=how+many+posts
that IS really sexy, the design from a "single drawn line" standpoint gives it many of the same curves a viper has.
pure sex! this car showed up at the very end of the last cars and coffee. The guy was extremely nice. It was the first one in MN and only had 29 miles on it at the time. It was his first time driving it he said.
omg i love that of pic of the motor i need too, A. SELL SOME ORGANS B. RUN DRUGS FOR THE CARTEL C. ROB AN ARMORED TRUCK
def a nice ass car, but i don't believe it is worth the money people are paying for it... you could buy a stock Z06 and dump prolly $20K in mods and get it to perform better then the ZR1. its basically a smaller engine with a blower, Carbon fiber body panels, and a sweet suspension. These can easily be bought for a Z06. i dunno...could be the minority here... Aj
are those brakes similar or the same as the enzo? I heard it was the same/or similar in size. But massive to say the least
IIRC they're the same units as on the Enzo. I'd take a ZR1 any day of the week, but I would be willing to "settle" for a Z06. Either one is about the best bang for the buck out there when it comes to supercars.
The car sure is nice.....but I wouldn't want to drive it right now in the snow. I love my suby :yumyum:
its not what you could have done with the money instead. its also the principle of the fact that you own a zr1. something that most people cant get. people who have worked for that kind of an income will want something special to show for it. they earned it and if they enjoy it, its money well spent.
My only complaint about that car is the silly glass bit on the hood... otherwise, beautiful car, would love to hear it scream.
agreed... that is quite silly. almost as stoopid looking as a giant scoop smack bad in the middle of the hood!!!
Love the car. One question tho, what the heck is "Seckie" supposed to mean? If you were trying to spell "sexy" very sexfully, you've failed.
+1 I think that's a little tacky but modern 'vettes sure are fast and that's all I really care about. I'd still rather have an Ariel Atom or an Exige personally.
Also, there's nothing wrong with pushrods unless you're trying to spin an engine to 9k RPM, which isn't real necessary when you have a 7 liter motor. It makes the heads more compact.
Yeah, I wasn't knocking the performance of it by any means. For what they ask for one, its a raging steal. It's just the little tacky "oh look, my engine is teh pr0n" window that bothers me. When Ferarri and the like do it, its ok, because its in a place where I expect glass to be anyway (long sloping back windscreen and ... oh look at that, engine underneath! woo!), rather than doing it computer modder style and hacking a random hole into a panel to put a window in.
i agree with what most of you guys are saying, it is the badest mofo vette ever made and its killing the competition, HANDS DOWN ...i dunno though. i think its just heavily overpriced Z06. yea, the brakes are this and that, but you can get a few aftermarket setups that will be on par with those carbon ceramics. the motor is nothing really fancy either, all it is, is a LS3 with a roots blower. you can buy a stock 08 C6 and slap a blower on it and make the same power. hell, my 427 i have in my corvette makes 675 hp and 725tq, and thats N/A! revs upto 7200rpm. i will give it the fact that the carbon fiber body panels is AWESOME as all hell! man, i would love that on my car. But generally, i understand your guys thoughts, out of the box, its a killer setup ready to challenge the really up scale lambos, ferraris, etc... Aj
its still not going to be a ZR1. same thing with what holster said. if someone offered you, or any of you the keys to a brand new ZR1 i know you all would take it and drive it around like a zr1, if a z06 came up to you laughing at you you would politely smile back and say but you still dont drive an exotic supercar and drive away
If someone handed me the keys to a zr1 and said "here you go!" it would immedatly be placed on craigslist "trade for GNX" yes its slower, it doesnt handle, its heavier....But to me its dripping with much much MORE badass.
yes yes... like i said, it is a badass car... but honestly, if someone gave me the keys and told me to choose b/w my car and the ZR1, i'd still keep mine. only since its soo heavily modified (suspension, engine, brakes, etc). but stock for stock, ohh hands down, ZR1 please!!! i don't have the new one up, but the numbers i said were "brake horsepower". at the wheels it was 535rwhp and 567rwtq (under the most optimal conditions ever, forced frigid air and cool engine). if i can find the sheet, i'll post it up. otherwise, this car has been seen by many at Car Craft or Power Tour. those events, it usually dynoed 515rwhp and 520rwtq (usually in 90* and heat soaked). aj
Ya ive seen the car MANY times, just wanted to see the chart. not doubting, just want to see what the curve looks like.
found it on my work computer... heres the sheet. sorry, gotta cok your head sideways. the spikes you see is the torque converter locking/unlocking. still need some fine tuning to sort that out, but it won't matter anyways since i might be yanking it to put a manual trans in this winter. We'll see.
