Just to clarify to everyone interested... The Low Speed event on Saturday is held on the track, not a parking lot. The course starts right in turn 2 and ends just after turn 8, about 1:08 for a modified well driven Corvette. Coned obstacles (generally a slalom of some kind) are positioned between 2 & 3, 3 & 4 and 6 & 7 to keep speeds down. A C4 Corvette will use 2nd and 3rd gears for the entire run. If you're just interested in high-speed lapping, the Corvette club also has open lapping 'practice' days on 5/13, 8/4 and 9/15 this year. These cost $150 for the full day. These usually seem to get about 20-30% non-Corvette attendance.
