Cottonwood trees

    I absolutely detest cottonwood trees. I think you should get a $500.00 ticket for each tree on your property unless you cut it down, and then you should get paid for the wood. What a filthy disgusting plant. They should all burn, and die.

    they can make fishing miserable. having to strip all the "cotton" off your line every 5 minutes

    I feel ya brother. My neighbor has two of them and all they do is cause a mess. I was thinking about putting a couple copper nails deep into them and play the waiting game....but I wouldn't be that cruel to him, he's a pretty cool guy.

    About a week ago, I had my car totally cleaned. When I pulled into work today with the windows down, I didn't think anything of it. Now my car is filled with fuzz. I'll drive home with the windows down trying to get some of them out with the least amount of work and they'll be hitting my face and neck and I will probably go insane.

    They also clogged the AC condensers here at work and froze up two of the units.

    AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh.

    Trust me, it works ;)

    edit:

    To speed up the poisoning process, take your copper nails, spray them with vinegar and let sit outside in a plastic cup for a week. They will oxidize, then pound them into the base of the tree.

    Nothing pisses me off more then driving somewhere with the windows down and hitting the cloud of cotton those bastards drop. Talk about making a mess out of the inside of your car.

    Yes, and this is awesome! If they are illegal to plant, they should be illegal to be on your property.
