My brother found this I thought it was a bit odd. Blown engine, Tranny issues? $4,000 seems just a little low. My brother wants to test drive it anyways... Pics in link. That's got SCAM stamped on it. I am weary of anyone who uses the Ebay term BUY IT NOW in a Craigslist add as well.
I'm reminded of that "World Motor Sports" guy. If you look close enough you can see palm trees in the very far background. Anyone recognize the email address? It should be comical. My Brother wants me to go with.
It's not a typo, it's a scam. Tell your brother to learn how to use google next time he finds a car for 1/10 of how much it should cost. Here's the scammer's other post: http://www.buysell.com/root/detail/...?gok=2006+Import+Cars&CTAction=latestphotoads And here's the actual car, so if your brother wants to go check it out, its in cali. $29k: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=p&car_id=269862156&dealer_id=64700805&car_year=2006&make_desc=Subaru&search_type=used&distance=100&model_desc=Impreza%20WRX&origuri=%2Ffind%2Fused-Subaru-Impreza+WRX-cars-for-sale-San+Diego-92134.jsp&address=92134&cardist=93&standard=false&rdpage=thumb
ANd yeah, be wary of palm trees and other various "wonderful getaway destinations" - even if it's just in the background of a picture like this ... its usually too good to be true.
Is the world motorsports guy still around? My brother bought an 02 WRX from him and it worked out alright (i would not reccomend him to anyone). Had some minor issues but overall was OK. He got the car for pretty cheap. On the other had, a friend of mine bought a 04 WRX and it had a ton of problems with it. Anyone else bought anything from him?
