My cruise control on my 99rs doesnt work, are there some common things that might go wrong with it I should look at? when you press the cruise control switch on the dash should a cruise control light be on the cluster? if so mine isnt.

And my right turn signal doesnt work, when I put it on the lights on the cluster dim and it makes a weird clicking noise. Could it be the switch or a relay?

I spent most of the day ripping out wires that the person had running all over hopeing there was a short somewhere. I disconected the led nozzle lights, the neon gas and brake pedal, and the neons under the seat. I didnt really want to do it because it was so cool:laugh:

check your other turn signals they will do wierd things when one burns out.

as for your cruise check the fuse and your brake lights. My dads car's cruise quite when one of his brake lights were burnt out. Other then that I have no idea.

Did you check the little black air hose that comes from the cruise control silenoid to your intake manifold?

    checked it, hose was good:dunno:

I have the whole car ripped apart now, carpet seats, doors and dash. There are alot of wires that i took out that who knows what they were for.

When I use the right turn signal I noticed the turn signal relay gets really hot after a couple minuites.

My RS has a light on the button itself, and when I bought it, it wouldn't light up, and the cruise control didn't work. I had the shop take care of it as part of the final purchase agreement. I guess I only mention it to say that there is a light in the button and it wouldn't light up when the cruise control wasn't working.

I had one... but it was busted worse then your problem. It would click the high beams on and off very fast, when ever i touched it.

Also i have a full working Cruise Control system from my car if you need parts. Also Full A/C system (one hole in main hose though)

Rich, check your clutch pedal. There should be a little white button that sits on the pedal stem somewhere up top where the cruise switch. If it has a hole in it, that's your problem. It most likely is it...

And I also have a turn signal switch from an 06 legacy...which I bet will fit in your car with no issues.

I would double check that all the bulbs flash at the same rate, and the same time. I have seen people wedge the bulbs in backwards and that causes awkward flashing.

My Cruise in the '00 RS hasn't worked since '02... Did everything except change out switches. Never did figure it out, not that it matters any more.
