I have a 06 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Wagon to begin with.

So I've been involved in a recent accident damaging the front driver side section including hood and frame, driver side doors and rear driver side window. Now the question is, is it possible if instead of using the part numbers for the stock wagon parts, would I be able to give them Part numbers of a sedan or WRX sedan to get the Sedan front end? And if so, would I have to pay for extra too? Wanted to start off and ask here first. And yes i've done google search; it just says most the time insurance/shops would use aftermarket parts to fix the car, etc but nothing to what I am questioning.

To answer your question directly, no. However, you can possibly, POSSIBLY find a shop that is willing to do that for you, but most reputable will not. The one choice you have is to just receive a check from your insurance company for the damages minus your deductible(if it was your fault) and then purchase those parts on your own and have a shop do it that way.

Most body shops will have no problem going aftermarket on the fenders. They usually offer that as an option. They will especially do it if you just bring some into them

I did something almost like this with a body shop I went to. I had a damaged muffler after getting rear ended and since I already had an aftermarket one which needed to be installed, I asked if they could just put the damaged one back on and the insurance paid the money like they were going to buy me an OEM new one, then the shop just cut me a $400 check for not buying the part.
Worth a shot to ask, never hurts.

Sounds like something you should be asking the body shop and insurance company.

Insurance will only pay for capa certified aftermarket parts, OEM if a/m isn't available or sometimes if the car is not older than 2-3 years, depending on the insurance company. Anything outside of that would be considered a betterment replacement and you will have to pay for any cost over what they will allow for part replacement and standard labor times. If you want to go that route you're better off taking the insurance check and either buying the parts yourself or some bodyshops will help you find them. The shop I work for has done this a few times for custom projects, but trying to work with insurance adjustors on betterment parts is a p.i.t.a, just to give you a heads up.

well like I said, the parts are and will be oem, and both wagon and sedan fenders are for some apparent reason the same price. That's where this question comes into mind, would I be able to just give part numbers of OEM parts to them and reason with them that it will fit perfectly? because it literally is IF both fenders are the same AND the bumper is the same as the sedan.

Again, Your best bet it to just take the check, get the parts and THEN take it to a shop. Insurance will pay you no differently then if you were going to have the stock parts repaired at a shop.

Yep. Have insurance cut you a check and then deal with parts and the shop yourself.

BTW, you realize the front track is narrower on the wagon, right? For it to be halfway decent looking, you'll need to replace both front struts, control arms, etc. etc. with WRX components to move the knuckles out and widen the front track. Otherwise your wheels will be sunken in. It looks terrible if you only do the body panels from the sedan.

That will look even worse. You'll have them closer to flush in the front and they'll be hanging out in the rear.

Correction, you can use wagon struts on a sedan...you'll even pick up extra negative camber ;)

But I agree, sometimes the sedan front end looks funny on a wagon without doing some fender work (ie custom welding in wider rear fenders) in the rear.

the rears will be done in the future.. I am just looking forward to the front for now since the opportunity is taking its toll. I mean since i'm going to do a front end in the future anyways, why do it now and save more in the long run?
