So, I recently just purchased a AEM UEGO digital boost gauge and need something to hold it. I was planning on just buying one pre-made for the A-pillar, chopping it, fiber glass it in and so on. But I didn't want to wait on an order or pay Advance $25. So I googled How to make a custom pod gauge and I found it on an Mitsubishi enthusiast website. Well after going out and buying PVC pipe, resin, and brushes. This is what I have after 2 nights. *Note: The primer is fresh and yes I know it is running, I did that on purpose.* -After making mold of A-pillar and "pods" mounted. -Wrapped and ready for more fiberglass -Here she is primed. Notice sagging towards the bottom of the picture. -Yup.
So to keep the ones were are interested posted. The item is finished! Started all over since the first piece, pictures in the first post, just didn't fit right. While rummaging through a backroom I found an universal gauge pod so I chopped it and combined it with my A-pillar trim. A-pillar interior trim + Gauge pod = Same satin white as the exterior of my car. Thought it would look oddly cool since the interior is all blacked out. For those who have not seen it yet. Suede headliner and black trim pieces.
