No, not custom sub boxes...full on custom subwoofers, built to your standards and musical tastes by the engineers at Atomic (who have been building speakers since 1946). ANY sub in their product lineup can be custom built specifically meet your musical tastes and your listening environment (car, truck, SUV, etc...) as well as preferred box type. Other features that can be added are stiffer suspension (for more control at the cost of efficiency), custom cone material (aluminum, Carbon Fiber, Kevlar weave, poly, paper, etc...), longer tinsel leads for the SPL lovers, etc, etc, etc... Now I can honestly say "If I don't have the perfect subwoofer for you, it doesn't exist!" 15% discount for all members of mnsubaru! PM for pricing. BTW: This is my vendor account, I still go by "tjamz" on the rest of the site.
www.atomicspeakers.com <---manufacturers website (sorry I forgot to put that in the original post) Yes (being built as we speak....right now its a huge mess) But I wouldn't be able to even show pricing online there, as these are extremely territory protected (I have all of ND, SD, and MN at the moment) and an online webstore is strictly prohibited so I can assure you that you won't find them listed at any of the normal online retailers ever. Well, except a few pieces here and there on e-bay, kinda hard to regulate that.
Can you do like, underseat woofers? or something I can hide away? I have a wagon and I dont want to take up any space. I got the wagon for a reason Bob
Underseat....will depend on the height of the seat, I guess I've never measured for space. If there is enough room, then yes, it can be done....probably with a pair of 8's (or a single 8 depending on your wants/needs). Otherwise I have applications w/ inverted magnets and other shallow mount options. Another option is to build an enclosure in the spare tire area by making a mold of the spare location with the spare in place and then creating a baffle over the top of said mold, counter sinking the sub into the baffle. The only downside to this is if you want to access your spare, you need to lift out your sub box first. Not a huge deal.
I have free roadside, so i dont forsee using my spare. haha jk I see youre in Fargo, and im in Rochester. This could be an issue. I will keep you in mind though.
I have friends w/ WRX wagons so that I can make a mold of the tire well and build the enclosure...then it's just a matter of meeting up. I have friends traveling to Mpls all the time, so I could probably just send it with them.
