Custom Skidplate Action Going Down

Alright heres the skinny:

Nick (SweetBugI) told Bill (bluebru2002) that he would make a skidplate for him. However, Nick has a modded WRX with a FMIC, therefor the skidplate is different than it would be on a stock car.

This leaves nick in need of a stock wrx to make a plate from.

Solution:
He needs to "borrow" someone's prized STOCK WRX for an afternoon to make a plate. This offer would entail the donor a skidplate at the cost for materials. Plain and simple, you lend him the car for the afternoon, toss him roughly $40 and you get a skidplate when its all said and done.

He asked me to make to make the thread for him, I made a skidplate already and I drive a GF8 so I am of no help on this one beyond making this post. I repeat, this is NOT my deal, if you are interested please PM SweetBugI or call him at 952-334-0616.

With that all said, I think its a good chance to have a skidplate made for dirt cheap if you would be willing to be without your car for a small period of time. I also want to repeat the fact that i am NOT dealing with any of this beyond this point.

 

Also, this SHOULD be an 02/03. I wasn't aware there was a difference between 02/03 and the 04/05 but whatever. BUGEYES PLEASE

If you don't have time to do this nick, that is fine. I have survived 3 years with 1 ice race and one gravel pit with no problems, whats a few more months. That and I am looking into making one. I think I can get the material for cost through work and use there bender and cutter.

I have been to the cities at least 8 times since I moved. considering beth works every other weekend that is damn good.

pretty much... just BAM, in and out in a flash. by the time they know what just happened i am enjoying a drink with my pants off on the side of the bed.

 

i'll be making a skid plate maybe tomorrow at the shop. its going to be on my L but i have the wrx engine crossmember...not sure if the bolt alignment is the same on the front or not.

first make it out of some thin aluminum that you can cut with a sheers..this will give you the pattern, then trace it onto 3/16" aluminum for the finished piece. just use a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade and that should cut the 3/16" fine.

 

you can cut that metal with a tin snips as well... i did
