I recently learned about a new 'practical' technology that common people like us can use. I've often either had to wear my body armor during dh/freeride biking and suffer the heat and bulk or go without and pay the price when crashing hard. I'm so pumped because there are a couple companies offering shirts and pants with this. right now I'm tracking down a beenie filled with this material for snowboarding. (check out the 3rd video link) Although d3o doesn't sell their product themselves, there are a number of companies starting to offer the d3o armor in their equipment. check it out.... www.d3o.com this video is a great example....
