What about the limited edition STi below - 241hp/461tq? Is it a turbo diesel?

it's a limited edition wrx tuned by sti. it's not based off the wrx sti, it's based off the wrx. so it's halfway between a normal wrx and a wrx sti if that makes any sense

both cars are hawt, but the wagon looks too much like the newer audi grill design.

This was a head scratcher to me as well. I think it's just a typo, and it should say

increasing engine's maximum power output to 340 hp. The torque is also increased by 20 Nm to 340 Nm (461 lb-ft), available at 3200 rpm.

If it's not a typo, it's gotta be a diesel. I've never head of any (gasoline) car that has 461Lb/feet of torque with only 240hp.

    It's gotta be a typo:

    461tq * 3200 / 5252 = 281hp

Good call W.O.T.V's. Problem then becomes: what the hell kind of STI (especially a limited edition) has 241HP and 251Lb/ft of torque. We all know the US spec 2.5L makes 300/300 and the JDM spec 2.0 motor makes 276Bhp (280ps)/300 (or close to it), so what the hell is this low output motor doing in an STi (especially one costing $12K over the normal STi price? The last 4 limited editions STi's I'm aware of all made more than 300hp (S203, S204, RA-R & RB320). Maybe this is the new Grandma edition!

The car is basically a stage-1 WRX with some new wheels and a fancy STi badge. Lame.

For $50K ($47K)? How can it be? Even the pillow ball rear suspensions sound like an update to the S204 STi! I'm thinking the Tuning Salad-tuning news blows.
