Neons are so gay. I don't care if Dodge refuses to call the SRT-4 a neon.... it's a neon. Tonight on the highway one wanted to race so I obliged. Damn neon walked me of course. Argh. Did I mention that neons are gay? You experienced guys know if exhaust/utec/minor crap will be enough to beat a stock SRT-4? If not I may be going to an 18g sooner than I thought... because neons are gay. If you are gay and you are reading this, I didn't mean to offend.
agreed, check this one out on UNI tonight... yep, that's a biker cop, writing him a ticket, presumably for no front plate...but I don't know for sure, all I know is he DID get a ticket.
apparently, that neon driver couldn't park worth a crap either. look at that? that's well more than 12 inches from the curb. wow! and see how close he was to that lot entrance? sheesh! learn to drive!
i have been hanging out with mnsrt.com group all weekend at car craft, cause none of you punks went, and most of them are pretty cool. stock for stock..srt4 = teh win
yah but stock for stock in the mud, or gravel or snow or rain, thats 4 out 5 that we rule!!! all they can do is dry and maybe a little wet. I hate to admit it, but for a cheap cheap car, they are pretty decent. but i will stick with an STi as my future ride. Tim

the only problem with the SRT-4 is that too many irresponsible kids can afford them. and they are too fast for them, they don't know how to handle them.

you know deep down we all respect the srt4 to some point, if i wanted to go fast in a straight line for cheap i woulda bought one (if i could get past the teddy bear good looks and much less than subie quality interior) ive driven one and rode in a few and they are decent cars, and like i said for goin really fast in a straight line there is nothing better for the price. for me i dont like them nearly as much overall as the wrx so i went with a slightly used wrx instead of a brand new srt4. this being said there is nothing wrong with them the wrx is simply a better car overall in my opinion even though the srt is faster. :cry: and as far as the owners go, the mnsrt4.com crew are pretty cool but like someone said earlier there is too many irresponsible kids that own them, srt4 owners as a whole remind me alot of mustang owners there is some cool ones but most of them are... :roll:
i don't care if it is a neon or not. the damn thing hauls ass with a nice 2.4 displacement running a mitsu 16g turbo. for 20 grand, this thing is effing sweet! it's not a big deal that your wrx got walked by a srt4 from a roll. race it from a stop and im sure it'll be HUGELY different. your wrx will show him some subie power. anywho, i personally like the srt4 and thing it's a great value and a sharp looking dodge.
If a car were to get wasted by a 10 second ford festiva that is painted purple with rainbows and streamers all over it would it make the said car gay? I realize that tone doesn't carry very well over a forum... I meant this thread to be a lot more light-hearted. I know that SRT-4's are faster than WRX's out of the factory... if it really pissed me off to lose I wouldn't have raced him (I like seeing cars go fast... even if it means one pulling ahead of me ). I agree that dodge put together a great car for people who want to go fast on a budget... hence the less than desireable interior etc. As for the dumb neon owners... very true. A friend of mine volunteered me to lead a group of people down to the twin cities for a car show (I guess the people had never driven in the cities or somethin like that). Turned out that it was a few neons and a few DSMs. They got sick of driving a mere 80mph on I94 so they decided to pass. A girl in one of the cars told me later that the whole little caravan of neons and dsms went 120 all the way to minneapolis. The funny part is that those guys all got to the show 3 hours after my friend and me because they got lost downtown.

What do you mean you'll get walked, i have raced many bone stock srt-4's and kill them from a stop. Its when we get into the 80-90 mph range they start catching me like cold! Tim
Speaking of Gay STi drivers i ran into one early sunday morning around 130 am in apple valley, I said that i liked his car, and he told me to Fuke Off!!! I was like what a jack ass so then we raced, and He Missed 2nd and 3rd and didnt catch up till 70ish!!! I laughed my a$$ off :lol:

Infact, it might be time to peel the WRX off the back and put IMPREZA back on there, and then see if I can find an "L" to put next to it...that should bring the disappointment to a couple douchebag stock STi owners.
It was blue, gold wheels, bone stock as far as i could tell! no little noises that would point to anything else. the guy was prob mid 20's black hair. i wasnt trying to race him, but when he pulled that ****e out i was like its on, and then to find out he couldnt drive hahaahahalol Tim
i dono, i've seen a some neon guys that were cool. and when you think about it...there are assholes everywhere, and not ALL of them drive bmw's. :shock:
HAHAHA, I fokin' knew it. That is the same assjob that my wife made fun of for not waving to us. We tried the wave twice, but he just maintained his little 2F2F seating position (left shoulder rolled high to block the face, hand at 12 o clock, slouched in chair) and wouldn't give the time of day. Then I lit his ass up to remind him that he and his car aren't god's gift to 't3h fastness.' I need to make a trip to apple valley to put a fat smack down on this ass.

sorry..it was kinda a last minute thing. I am gonna organize a group to go next year..preferrable right across from the srt4 club. CC definitely needs more sport compact representation. I want to use some of the donations to make a big MnSubaru sign that we can hang up when we have events.
and when they finished the race, fong's faced looked exactly like his avatar... too much boost, eh fong?
