Earlier last month (June 18) I heard of my cousin's death in Iraq... I try to tune it out but I can't, the war has finally came home and it hits hard. Today, a day after the 4th of July... I sit here in the comfort of my kitchen room typing away on my laptop wondering about this freedom and indepence we all have and took for granted... but at what price?

Just thought I share with you one of the many death in Iraq that we all don't hear about.

    Rest In Peace

I'm sorry to hear that Vic. I have friends in the service that go over there and come back. I just expect them to come back every time and I guess I can't see it happening to someone I know. Our prayers go out to you.

    Vic,
After reading that article I can tell how he was a part of your family. It sounds like he was a very kind and noble young man. You can be proud that he was recognized in the paper, and remembered in the hearts of everyone that knew him.

Noah, he's my uncles son, which makes him my cousin... that's how I'm related to him. I've met Thai twice while visiting family in Cali before he joined the service. I have not seen him since he left to the service... When his dad called to informed us of his death it was unreal to me, I just couldn't believe that he's gone... I still remember our chit chat about cars and life in general.

Let's hope this war ends soon so our soldiers can come home to thier loved ones. Those who has passed on... they are not forgotten and will never be.

UPDATE: I read through some of the articles and one stated that they were illegal immigrant... actualy they are legal refugee and not as stated. Just thought I clear this illegal comment before someone makes a comment.
