It was going to happened sooner or later. There going to be less and less full size trucks in America. Which is good IMO. Thy take up lots of space and waste gas. I am bot saying that people who truly need them should get rid of them though. It seems like it could be a good idea for people to own both a full size truck (if they need it) and a small car that they would drive most of the time.

Over in Europe you rarely see trucks and suvs on the roads and highways, but the cost of gas is an arm and a leg...

That explains a lot. I can't imagine a double amputee would be all that well equipped to drive.

i just learned last night that the foot print of the Prius is MORE than a hummer!?!?

Between manufacturing process of the Prius batteries, shipping from overseas, the desposal of the batteries once exhausted.....ends up being more than manufacturing a hummer. whoa...

of course, the ownership costs for the consumer is less with a prius, but still

I still think gm should bring back the metro, or a small affordable 3cyl car, we have the technology!

Exactly. The most green vehicles on the road are the chev and ford pu trucks. When you make 3 billion of them a year, you can cost reduce to the point of the damn things being almost free to make. Then they both use the same format for almost decades.

The funniest thing is everyone see a truck and calls it a gas guzzler. I say define gas guzzler. I get 20 on the freeway in my truck. There are people on this board that don't get that in their cars.

I think your Legacy is a waste, you should be driving a ECO.

They will need to pry the keys for my Diesel Excursion out of my cold dead hands. :) Oh yeah I get 21 mpg on the hwy and 17 city and I pull a 14000lb trailer with it.

FAILBOAT. Sorry but, where is the study that says a Hummer will last 300k and a Prius 100k?

Let's do better and assume they both last the exact same amount of miles: 1.95*3 = 5.85

    5.85 > 3.25
