Some of you on here might know me, others probably dont give a ****.

I'm looking into tradeing in the box for a Subaru. Alot of mnsc'ers have gone this route with great results. Reliability, AWD and boost. I'm looking into a wagon, mostly interested in a Legacy or Legacy GT. Would consider a wrx wagon. Also wouldnt mind a Forester with the turbo motor.
I just called Burnsville Suby and the guy sounded like he just learned how to read and was reading from cue cards while talking to me over the phone.

I live a few miles from Maplewood Subaru and was hoping to stay in my kneck of the woods.

What are your thoughts, where have you purchased?

I bought at morries in minnetonka. It took 6 hours to finish the deal after we had agreed on a price, but other than that, I have no complaints. All the people were nice.

I bought mine at morrie bp. It took all day but I think that is common in all car sales. Its all day affair.

You're better off dealing with a specific salesman vs one specific dealer. Scott Putnam (I believe he's over at Mtka Morries now) was very easy to deal with when I purchased my car a couple years ago. I knew exactly what I wanted and pushed for the price I thought right, Scott was very easy to deal with and it was a quick and easy transaction.

+1 for Scott P. I haven't bought a car from him personally, but I did enough time in the car business to know he's got a solid rep and he's a great guy to do business with.

+1 one more for Scott Putnam. He works a MTKA Subaru, and he knows the Subaru line very well.

Just picked up my FXT from Scott. Good deal all the way around. +1 for Minnetonka, plus they also help support out club with part and service discounts.

Although I've never bought a car from Scott Putnam, I have had a chance to talk to him from time to time. He rides along in a rally car, and is a nice guy. He knows his stuff. It would be well worth your time to go and see him.

And yeah, the Mtka parts and service depts get a lot of business from this club. If they ripped people off, you'd see a whole slew of threads about it on this board. But that's not the way they do things.

I did buy my first Subaru from Morries Mtka, but that was some time ago...

And I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. We only sold it because of our ill-fated move to Ireland. Apparently, the banks take a dim view of you moving a car overseas when you still owe them money for it.

I don't think the H6 was an option when we bought this. Anyway, I heard that the H6 in the Outback didn't always make much sense.

    1. Heavier
    2. Better towing power, but doesn't make the car any faster
    3. Thirstier

The strangest thing about that car was that it was the perfect height for me to get in and out of. I kind of fall into the Impreza, and have to climb into an SUV, but the Outback was at such a height that I was able to just glide right into it. It's like Subaru made it just for *me*, God bless their little hearts.

Prolly wanna throw out what the hell his name is, saying "my old man works there" more than likely means nothing to the OP ... just saying.

Morries Minnetonka FTW! Both my parents and my aunt bought there subies from them and have had great experiences there. If I buy a new Subaru it will be from there.

Or they don't say anything to avoid drama.
