http://lifehacker.com/software/macg...t-with-canned-air-and-a-hair-dryer-254575.php Have you guys seen this?? Yeah, you can see I'm not very busy at work today...
But seriously though, I can't imagine that would work on a very small dent like a door ding or one that is on a body crease.
dry ice works also I remember reading something on it it needs to be heated up for a while, then cool down very fast with something very very cold...and the dent would pop out...it doesn't work on all but some.
let's test this on someone's car at Firestone tonight. I'll dent the door, and then we can see if it works!
If you hang around Firestone long enough someone is bound to fall on your car and dent it anyway, so we'll have the chance soon enough!
Or at the ice races. Props to whoever the ******* was who put the nice palm sized dent in my rear driver's side door.
having taken autobody classes for 2 years i can vouch for this working but not on anything you couldn't pop out by simply applying a little bit of pressure to the backside of the panel... so unless you got one of those dents on your car, don't even bother trying... anything with a crease in the metal (depending on the size) needs to be worked out using a pdr pick or mudded. our teacher did show us this one trick with an acetylene torch but it abviously burned the paint and need to be re-painted. so as far as hail goes... paintless dent removal is the way to go. tom, if you want me to check out that dent i can... i have a few hookups in the industry that do great work for cash.
