I have been working with a few of the mods on this idea and I thought I would open it up to the general community. What: Design the next MNSubaru T-shirt and/or Vinyl Why: To fund the next member event. We would like to take the funds from this event and throw a BBQ, picnic or general member event. Event would be late summer or early fall. The purpose of this event is to hang out and have a good time. When: The opportunity to create a design will run today - June 25th (Monday). After Monday the 25th I will create a thread where members can vote on the next design. At the time of the poll the MNSubaru members can decide on the best T-shirt and/or vinyl designs. After the poll has closed members will have the ability to pre-order shirts. These shirts will be printed in 1 run. How: 1. Designs must be 1 color images. This keeps the overall cost of the shirts down and creates more money for the club. 2. Designs must be original. You create it, you submit it. No using vendor names or product names without written approval. 3. Designs/Images can be emailed to [email protected] 4. You can create a front, back or front and back image. 5. T-shirt color will be limited to 1 color, Ink color will be limited to 1 color. 6. Image must be to scale and usable for screen printing. 7. Pictures of hand drawn images will be accepted for the voting, but if the person is the winner they must be able to provide a cleaned up digital copy of the image. If you win.... If you use font please have the ability to provide the font to us to recreate the image if necessary. Images or designs that can be vectorized are best for the screen printing process. Good question. No we are limited to one or two screens. We can print everywhere... but it takes multiple screens and that costs a lot of money. One image is ideal, that will only require 1 screen and keep costs down. Front and back image is allowed, but this will raise the over all cost of the shirts. We would like to keep it to 1 color ink and 1 color t-shirt. Depending on how much the club makes for the next event, we can look at opening up the door for more colors and screens for future contests. The best part about this contest/project is that all of the money is being put back to the members! Buy a shirt and fund your money goes to funding your own MNSubaru event.
I am going to toss a few "old" ones in there that never made it to printing. Just to see what people would like to vote on. I will work on some new ideas too. EDIT.... Those other two were more than 1 color. My bad.

Paul came though with a really sick T-shirt. I really like where he went with this one. The shirt color doesn't have to be red. This is just an example.
I was thinking about using my cousin's picture to make this happen. It is a pretty great idea. I thought about doing that when this contest started... then seeing Paul's picture made me want to make it happen. However, I am not sure how much time I'll have with photoshop prior to the MAP event this weekend. So if anyone else is good with graphics, please feel free to make it happen.
I hear you. It's even harder to do stuff for free when it is your business or line of business. I am not in the graphic design business as you can tell. Anything for this shirt (or MNSubaru orders in general) would have to be for free. Just like I donate my time to make graphics, setup orders, pickup orders/payments, deliver orders/payments, manage threads and PMs. It is all time and effort donated to MNSubaru so the club can make the most possible money and give back to the members. This is also why we do order based printing for shirts. It allows club money not to be tied up in T-shirts and club time to be spent trying to sell those shirts. We just order what we need, funds go to the club, club money goes to the members though events. I was just asking to see if others wanted to help out or submit more graphics. I would love to see T-shirt designed by members for the members. Just trying to make this successful so we can put on a cool event in the next few months.
OK. Paul has created the best MNSubaru T-shirt to date. The first image he sent to me. I will also upload a special version of the image that I requested.

I don't know bout that maybe now that I have aftermarket but I was always more worried bout bearings. You know I'll pick up a shirt or 2 anyways
A rainbow being traversed by a PedoChe riding a half-alligator-half-man-half-rabid-llama would be a great conversation piece. Hide an STi placard in there somewhere... Also, print them on old-school 3/4 length baseball jerseys.
