I recently put in a new up-pipe and people have been saying it is not hard to get a leak. Is there an good way to tell if you have one? I notice when I drive mine I get, not loud but high pitch squeel when it is cold. It's kinda like the sound of when the turbo is spooling up. I was thinking it was the turbo in the stage before it was actually pushing air. It does not make the noise at idle or anything though.

If it's a squeal, probably a leak. Sometimes small leaks will seal up once the car gets to operating temperature. Hard to say for sure without hearing it in person though.

LOL alote of people call it an angry squirel. :p I would run you car for a while and then go through with some gloves on and tighten all your pre turbo nuts and bolts. Pay close attention to the header to up-pipe bolts. If you still leak at that joint after that I would say put two header to up-pipe gaskets and try that.

Jack the car up. Spray the uppipe connections with soapy water. Start the car.. you will know real fast if you have a leak or not.
