What are the differences between an 02 and an 06 5 speed transmission?

I have a spare 02 transmission/rear end that I had for th 02. Now that the 02 is gone, I'm wondering if I should hold onto the tranny or not for the 06.

Experts... Please elaborate.

The gearing on the 02 is shorter, I know that much. I believe the final drive is different as well.

Would it have to have the 02 clutch/flywheel assembly to work on an 06? Or does that all bolt in?

06 has twin syncro 1st aswell. Being able to get into 1st going 30 FTW. And as Nuke stated it does use a push style clutch so the 02-05/Saabaru/BC turbo legacy pull style clutch will not work.
I was under the impression it was a 3.54 final though... i could be wrong

Your correct, i was just gonna post the ratios from that site. Not that it helps with only 2 hits for the tranny code but the 06 is TY754VW7AA

Ratios:
1st- 3.454, 2nd-1.947, 3rd- 1.366, 4th- 0.972
5th- 0.738, final 3.7
