Cant wait i have been waiting soo long for a rallyX after the last one got cnacled... i need my fix! oh and if you need to get your membership www.scca.com
is anyone going to check course condition before event day? we have had some more rainy weather lately...
look under the padding on the inside for a sticker that has the wording Snell in some way and see if the date is 1995 or newer, or bring to the event and they will tell you yes or no in tech, loner helmets are avail. if yours is not rated correctly
I think I might make it to this one. Going to be in town that weekend. I am looking forward to some rainy weather (makes for better photos) ;-)
calling for rain snow a couple days before the event AND 38 degrees on sunday....BRRR I hope the field isn't too wet like last time....I don't want to see it cancelled again:emo:
Sweetie, you called me out. I have already said, I am sure to be slow. But I will have fun Thankfully there is no passenger seat in the GTI, so no one will get to listen to me swearing Then again, you may hear me from outside the car!
lol...yeah i know. didn't think you'd actually do it though. Congrats!! it will be fun, slow or fast..it's always fun!
okay cool, im good to go... i'll be attending if i can come up with some money by then.. i went down to RS this weekend and couldn't even make it on 1 tank of gas from detroit lakes
iy'll prolly get canceled again. i'm gonna check the course Saturday morning and decide if i'll go or not
Before you go running around on private property why don't you get in touch with the eventmaster...it's his call anyways.
I want to and I would but i have a Europe Trip meeting that night so I will have to book it out of there early.
I throw enough smack, when called out, I have no choice but to show up and defend my name. Or make it good and muddy!
Im going to try my hardest to make it! Got a wedding reception the night before! (free beer!!!!) :yumyum:
As of Wednesday evening the course is usable. Erik's Honda CRV was able to negotiate around the field surface. He said that the vehicle sank a little, it was a little slick, but traction improved as it packed down. Tires will be king on Sunday! We will be monitoring the conditions. We will re-evaluate on Friday, and again on Saturday depending on the weather. I will be in contact with the landowner about the weather to determine if there needs to be any last-minute checks. I will try to keep everybody as up to date as possible. Denny McGinn Dirty Jack O Lantern Rallymaster This is the word from the eventmaster. I was the one that went out and drove the field. It's slippery with street tires on the CRV. But I never got stuck. I was even able to drive up the south hill to the normal paddock area without sliding or spinning tires. I will be going down friday night to check out the conditions with this rain coming.
going to be at a house party the night before for Halloween but should be able to limit the intake of beverages and get up in the AM. Checking my funds right now. The credit from the last race is being applied to the make up rally.. cant apply it to this one? yes i have only missed one this yea.. was the very first one. sign up its a blast!! do you have a set of winter tires you can throw on?
sign up put em on and get a snell approved helmet and radio (you can rent them there if need be). make sure your car is cleaned out and take the floor mats out.
Tim, It can apply to either one. Just let Mark (Mayhem83) or Carrie (Rallywife) know which one you want it to count towards and that will get it taken care of. Subaru003, Careful, you might get addicted!! Nearly anyone who has a car that can pass tech inspection (i.e. any mechanically sound vehicle that has a hardtop, no leaking fluids, battery securely held down, no loose objects in the interior, etc.) can run in rallycross. Let us know if you have any questions and we'd be glad to help you out. Here's the link to the rulebook. http://www.scca.com/documents/Rally Rules/2009rxr.pdf This lets you know what you can do for car prep and also outlines the rules governing rallycross.
Wish I could make this one, but the money is super tight right now. And the Vikes are taking on the Packers. Good luck everyone, and I hope you get some good track conditions. Subaru003, you will become VERY addicted. It's not tough on your car, unless you want it to be. Snow tires are highly reccomended, and mudflaps if you want to protect your car. Also, don't forget about your numbers.
Whoopah!!!! rallycross rallycross rallycross I'm so excited and I get to drive the mean mean T-leg!!!!!!!!!!
