Just wondering if anyone here plays frisbee golf. I saw like two or three subaru's last time I went and was just wondering if anyone else on here plays. Would love to see a few new courses and meet some new peeps so I hope this is a good way to do it.
i havn't played in a while, my frizzgolfing buddy moved up to duluth a few years ago.. i've slowed down alot since then. i used to go to plymouth/starring/lone lake/baker park all the time. baker was awesome before the took out the good holes...
I throw a round here and there when I can. Haven't been out for some time, though... at least, not here in MN. Used to play a lot up at Acorn Park in Roseville. So.... First Annual MNSubaru Disc Golf Meet?
I used to when I lived in w.st.paul. There is an AWSOME course just off HWY 52 and Buttler Ave. Can't miss it; just take HWY 52 North from 494 and exit off at Buttler. Take a right and it's RIGHt there. Heck you can see it from the offramp.
glad to see there is people out there besides me. I play whenever and wherever I can. I saw quite a few scooby's at the lions park course in EP. I got 15 days left before I go to school, raise your hand if you wanna meet up sometime and play around or two. If there is enough interest I will put together a little day quick for whoever wants to on like a friday and then afterwards we can head down to UNI.
I'm off at 5 on fridays and work in golden valley. I'd be up for frolf anytime after work on fridays. I'll keep my eye on the thread.
last time i played was actually up in st. cloud. we did something like 54 holes at two diffrent courses then went out clubbing. we plugged $20 in the jukebox and threw about 8 games of darts... i was totally useless for 2 days after that.
is that kaposia? that course pwned me last time i went. i think i was 10 over before we even hit the long holes... http://www.playdg.com/kaposia/
I forgot to mention that in my previous post, I think he's referring to Kaposia. I love losing discs there
bryant lake park has taken about $60 worth of my discs. that course will take a toll on your arm and your disc bag...
Yep that's it. It is a very tough course. We didnt even keep score; just went, played, and had fun We thought it was an accomplishment if we came out with the same amount of discs we went in with!
how about we do something this friday? acorn maybe? then cruise down to uni? if we get like 4 people into it i'll post up something in the event section.
I'm game for Friday. I don't know where acorn is tho. I work in Golden Valley and I could be pretty much wherever in the cities by 5:30 if not sooner.
http://www.playdg.com/acorn/ it's in roseville. imo it's the best course to hit if we wanted to hit university later on. everything else is much more west. we could hit lone lake though. there are some srt4 folks that hang out there everynow and then. and you can see the lower lakeside parking lot 90% of the time.... at acorn we would be back in the woods right from the beginning... a squad of unattended scoobies might attract a little attention. http://www.playdg.com/lonelake/
Good thinking...highland would also be pretty close to Uni as well - I love that course. I'll check your link in a minute though.
I used to play at least once a week...about 12 years ago! OMG, that was a long time ago, but it feels like 2 years ago.
well acorn is less than 5 miles away from firestone so how about we meet up there so long as it's not raining... what time?? anytime after 5:30 works for me....
I say that if we are gonna meet lets do it around 6. Get a couple of rounds in then grab some food while goin over to UNI.
I'm actually leaving work at 3 on Friday. I should be able to make it. 6pm sounds good!!! Are we going to eat before firestone or should I do that prior to frolf??
