I need to get a new set of tires....looking for All Seasons. These have worked great along with the AWD during the winter months. Anybody have the hook-ups for Discount Tires around here. I'm looking at either the Bridgestone Potenza RE960 Pole Position or the Yokohama Advan S4. Any thoughts or experience with either?
I have a set of bf goodrich traction TA's I would be willing to sell. they are 60k mile rated tires with 4.5k on them. I bought them at discount tire and they come with the warranty and everything. would like to see 400 for them. Let me know. They fit a WRX rim which calls for a 205-55-16 but I went with a plus zero size which is 225-50-16. I love the tires I have had these on my wrx and another set a few years ago on my legacy. PM me if interested.
I haven't used the bridgestones on a subi yet, but I had those tires on a 300ZX NA. Granted rear wheel drive and lots of torque, but they sucked in the winter. I put them on about the same craptastic level as the re-92s. I have been happy so far on my wrx with Vredestein Quad Track (I think that is the name). Twin City tire sells them.
Why are you selling the BF Goodrich T/A? My rims fit size 215/45/17.....so I'm not sure if that will work with what you got. I currently have a set of Kumhos ASX All Seasons, great tires, great price....can't complain. I ran them for 2 years now from 45k to 80k. I just wanted to try something new.
I was thinking winter tires, but I would need to get rims which are narrow or else it defeats the purpose of the winter tires. I have had good experience with the Ultra High Performance All Seasons along with the AWD. I think they perform great together.
nope my tires wont work for you as they are for a 16 inch rim not a 17. I am going to sell them so I can buy true winter tires. I moved to the rural part of the state and the side roads that I frequent a lot more get crappy real fast and thought I would give myself the best chance I have.
