any major difference in the invidia divorced down straight vs. the catted version? is there really a large enough difference to compensate for the extra 300 bucks for the cat aside from one is street legal and the other not. will they really get down under the car and check? and is it really that much louder minus the cat? flow difference? back pressure difference?
Lots of opinions on catted vs. catless I just put in an Invidia v3 catless DP and it definately made the car much louder. People complain about the gassy smell going catless too I can smell it once in awhile but hasn't bothered me one bit. As far as flowbackpressure power and such I'll leave that to the pros
spose i'll throw in these 2 questions real quick befor ethe hurd jumps in I've heard reports of sensor melting and or coolant hoses in the v2 along with boost creep, is this still the same issue with the v3? Is invidia pretty much where it's at for top quality downs? also looked into cobb, but so far Invidia seems to hold the "pretty and happy butt dyno" award.
I went catless. I love the sound and the smell. You can use the difference in price to JetHot coat and/or wrap it. You should buy the new AP when it comes out or someone's used one so you won't have to worry about the CEL and it will get you more power.
