Have been wanting to do this for awhile now and decided to pull trigger. Parts needed are:

    two o2 bungs
    two 2.5 2 bolt flange
    two gaskets
    one 180/45 pipe
i also choose to go stainless steel bolts and nuts for ease of removal if needed

    Tools needed:
    Welder
    mask
22mm wrench for the o2 sensors
    sockets and wrenches
car ramps or jacks and stands

First off was to take out the stock cats and measure what needs cutting and extending.

I then cut the 180 in half and use the other half for the bottom portion like so.[IMG]
measuring time! When i got under the car i saw that i needed to extend it a few inches. After that i welded the two together and got started on the first
flange and connecting the end piece.
then i added the rear flange and made sure everything was in place correctly and welded everything together. Also drilled the holes for the o2 bungs and welded them in as well. Made rough estimates on where the bungs were and they fit pretty well.

Forgot to take pics of the end piece as i was too in a rush but the final stages is to grind down the horrible welds and high temp paint it or ceramic coat it. w/e suits your needs.

heres some clips of before and after.

    pipe-$35ish
    Flanges-$15
    Bungs-$7
    Gasket-$6
    so around $63-65 after tax

also ran out of welding wire so extra $15
so in total $80. These would normally run $200 so im happy with it.

time was total of 6 hours, including running to sears and home depot for welding wire and 22mm wrench(which i later returned) for the sensor. the welder was also acting up alot so it would easily be like a 2-3 hour job had everything gone well.

who bent the piping for you??

Normally $200..maybe if you got a shop to make it but I'd say around $100 is reasonable... (with shop labor is the killer)...

I've built similar for people for around $50 (mates rates )

nice job though... (may I suggest if your welder is able too... add a small gas bottle so your welds are cleaner... Im assuming you just used either standard wire no gas or flux-core)

yeah just cheap old harbor freight flux core wire. if were to become more serious, id def invest in a good gas mig. i meant $200 as in the guy who was selling them on rs25(supers) but recently stopped. i bought the pipe prebent off ebay.

Do it. Anything to help out in this time of economy. But you should put up a post for interest first.

You'll be back. Some of us thought we were out for good, but Subaru seems to be an itch that needs scratching. And isn't crabs.
