I am not surprised with nasioc ... they are always looking for a fight over there they are all complaining about people wasting time at work - are THEY all jobless or something?
i was going through a few pages looking at random posts a lot of people must think looking at porn while on the job is okay
Sorry Diz I just thought it was a great thread, and you've got my support on this one. Looking at teh pron at work is a no-no.
In short... I did my job 1. Guy(regional manager) looks at porn while on the job. 2. Send's me a screenshot of himself doing so. 3. Send's me a second email basically acknowledging he did wrong and asking me to ignore it(basically asking me to not do my job and risking my job for him)=. 4. I talk to my manager, she informs me to send it to HR 5. I do so. I am told by HR, guy is gone 6. Dizmal posts story, not to sound god like or above anyone, just to point out stupidity of said grown person who is a regional manager. Cause honestly, who surfs porn at work??? 7. Dizmal is agreed with and disagreed with and also called a tool because people can't pickup how I am trying to type(as a joke, not to /flex and sound powerfull) 8. Drinks beer
This reminds me of a time last year when I was walking through the library at UMD. I turn the corner and this guy on a public workstation, (18" monitor) has a website up that has to do with busty milfs. And he was browsing it. WTF? On a computer that everyone can can see as they walk by, or coming down the main stairway. I guess some people are just that stupid.
I read all 8 pages (yes I was bored last night). People are idiots, especially the the ones over there. You did the right thing. If you are suppose to report it then report it. You don't want to get yourself canned too for something someone else did.
Hell we have cleaned up a few companies with a lot of porn surfers, and even caught a few child porn viewers. When you are at your job, do your job. We had two programmers that were playing WoW instead of programming for a client, one lady that was selling herself on craigslist, and one that was selling company secrets. We even had an IT Manager that had about 30GB of Porn on his desktop.
lol jesus, 30gb??! I've been there a year and a half and it was the first time I have run into someone surfing porn. I have seen one person fired for downloading gambling software and another person arrested for having pictures of a co-workers child on the computer. Not pornographic, but the parent was seriously freaked out over that. Normally, people have the common sense to not do this at work. I just found it funny that someone who should have known better, didn't and busted himself the way he did.
I'd fire anyone who was doing that as it has large reprecusions on anyone else that sees it. I've had two employees that have been sexually harrassed by another and it puts your company in a position to be sued. That's not an employee you want to give a break so I say good job! Sorry NASIOC is a bunch of buttheads.
I am still trying to figure out why one anyone would really NEED to be looking at that at work ... :eek3: I donno about you guys, but I don't have enough time in MY work day to be looking at porn.!
It wasn't a screen shot of a naked chick, he had a minimized internet explorer window that was on a porn site. For you, I'll be anything! That's right sugar, I mean... Rayzewayze:hsugh:
