I swear there was a lot of people posting pictures of their new cars and such when the '06/'07s came out. Hasn't anyone boughten any of the '08s? Maybe I missed it but I haven't heard of anyone or seen anyone with one yet...

OK "boughten" is not a word. You do not need to put an "en" on a word like "bought," because the word "bought" is PAST tense. If someone already has one, that means that previously they had to have "bought" it. "Boughten" is what people say in the 3rd grade - while their parents, and hopefully their teachers, try to correct with proper English.

That is all - back to the thread.

Adding "en" to the end of verbs tends to creep into the vernacular of those families with German heritage. I also get a giggle out of 'acrossed' which tends to show up quite often when a Minnesotan grew up out in the sticks.

Myself, I am beginning to truly hate the lazy verbiage creeping into my firm's managerial vocabulary. I tend to get dirty looks from them when I point out that words like 'status', 'solution' and 'administrate' are not actually verbs, but they never argue about it with me. I also had to point out to a female manager one time that the common abbreviation for refrigerator is fridge, and not 'frig' as she had just sent out in an email to 20+ of our colleagues. When I explained the difference, she blushed profusely, but has never made that same mistake again.

    Stuart.

ok. ok. Holy ****, I screwed up. I pretty much always check the spelling and grammar in my emails. I sometimes have trouble with spelling tomorrow with two M’s and I say “Can I borrow this to you.” Saying "boughten" is apparently another example of my grammar short comings. At least I don’t mash the keys in incoherent ramblings right? I’m an engineer and grammar is not something you generally get feedback on. So GFY!

I always see an '08 impreza (not wrx) in one of the employee lots at methodist hospital in st. louis park. The owner apparently has a lot of pride for it since he/she takes up two spaces on purpose all the time.

Oh, I guess I missed the part where you were talking about '08 WRXs and I only focused on how you were chastising people for lazy verbiage. Again, my mistake.

Back on topic, is there any aftermarket options for the clear tailights? Any good suspension upgrades out already? I am really surprised there isn't more action with these cars.

You don't borrow things to people...you lend things to people. If you are the reciever, then you are borrowing...if you are the provider, then you lend.

sorry, Zombie. I have been very frustrated with work lately - believe it or not, my co has more spelling idiots in it than this whole site could ever dish out. It won't happen again, I promise* :p

contrary to my off-topic post above...I'm actually wondering the same thing. I still haven't seen an '08 Impreza (whether it be a WRX or not) on the road!

    I saw one '08 2.5 sedan parked at a Cub once...but that's it...

I've seen a half dozen or so 2008 2.5i's but no wrx's... all of them were parked or at a stop... They are harder to spot (for me at least) since they look so much like other cars I hardly look twice at.

Nah, just sprayed a little cologne down there. I'll be fine.

The hatch looked good in person when i saw the red one that lady bought at Minnetonka, but the sedans are meh at best. The interior looked nice.

She is firmly anti-hatch and ant-wagon, so I'm SOL.

I showed her the Legacy as well, but she had a sherection when she saw the WRX sedan....

Well, I guess it could be worse. She could want a Prius. At least the performance of the WRX is still there. Even if it looks like a turd.

An expensive, polished turd. I'm thinking the charcoal color. This won't be until next year when she's done with school, so hopefully she will have time to change her mind.

I wouldn't mind owning a new vehicle though....warranty...knowing that no one else has made love juice on the seats etc.

No worries. This "don't" bother me one bit. 8)

So if there is only 1-2 WRXs that people know of, are sales that bad? Makes me wonder if they will do a restyle like the Tribeca.
