I'm still at a big fat zero for my ratio. I don't want to start downloading anything until I go through what I got and upload some first. I'm still not so sure I'm down with how snooty they are (or at least seem to be) yet.

Just go to another torrent site and look for a huge file that OiNK doesn't yet. The biggest thing that screws people over is when they don't understand proper audio formats and bitrates. Uploading transcodes is the quickest way to a ban.
