meng had it on his my00 RS before he totaled it. he had it on his RS for years and it never gave him any problems.

this is true. he had the kit on for like 4 yrs i think, and had only minor issues with the ECU tune (they no longer tune the ecu for you, they just give you a PP6, so issue).

i believet eh kit runs 6psi giving about 200hp on an 2.5l. as far as i know Meng still has his kit for sale. it was the first one int he midwest.

200whp? I'm pretty sure 5psi+ will give better than a 35hp increase at the crank.

Yeah, it's gotta be whp, you can almost get to 200 at the crank with N/A mods :D And it will cost you nearly as much as a turbo kit

A stock WRX makes 227 crank and puts down 160WHP to the ground. I find it hard to believe you are gaining over 100horsepower from 5 PSI...
Theoretically you would need to boost 1 extra atmosphere to double power. In practice it is even more than that. So with well under 1/2 an atmosphere of boost, you are not going to gain some 80% more power.

i tink they say thats its like a 65% hp increase. i will check out the kit on line and see wha they boast.

EDIT: "On the dyno the kit produced 212hp at the wheels at the recommend max of 6 PSI of boost. This puts it in the 265 HP range at the engine. About 100 horsepower over stock."

Yeah, I was quicker than a stock WRX with my RS-T even at highway speeds. Perhaps not 40whp quicker, but I don't think the roughly 500 lb difference between my RS and a WRX would make me quicker with 27bhp less. The CR and displacement have to play into it more than that, doesn't it?

Gotta dig out the Corky Bell book again. Haven't had to do the paper calcs in a long time

I think its a 400pound difference... And better gearing. Plus there is something to be said about having a ton more area under the curve...
