I really am looking and test driving wagons saw this one today on cars.com and noticed a mnsubi sticker on back window? anyone know who's it was? and if they do if their were any mods besides exhaust. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detai...onal&paId=253153916&recnum=29&leadExists=true
yea I agree the price is a bit steep..I would for sure take your advice and talk them down a bit if it checks out.
I actually test drove that one, runs good but they wouldn't come down on the price. If you can get em to come down on the price somehow its a steal. As for whose it was I got no clue, don't know too many of you guys yet.
I autocrossed with that guy a few times, I recognize the odd shaped exhaust. I can find out who it is if someone really cares, but I know I have met the owner.
I have ridden in this car and given it a quick once over and nothing seemed wrong with it at the time. Can't tell you if the previous owner is crazy or not though but the car seemed fine.
Be strong and know more than the guy helping you! Act like you want it, but tell them you have others to look at today. Also, mention that the price is a bit high for the miles and ask if they're taking offers or rather imply that they are taking offers instead of asking. Find anything on the car that you can knock the price off with and make sure to mention those things to the person helping you. (Ex. scratches, dents, paint imperfections, etc) Ask if they know the history of the car and maintenance records as well. Make sure to know what maintenance should be done at that mileage and ask about it before the sale person can tell you it's been done or hasn't. If it hasn't been done, stress how important it is to have it done etc. Check the engine bay like you know what you're looking for..oil in the rad overflow, look for any leaks, just dig deep whether you know how or not. It's at a bargain lot and you have to think that 90% of sales people at a misc lot are not going to know about the car, especially an import at a Denny Hecker lot. It's winter, these guys are hard up to sell a car. They will bend for you. Seems like a lot, but it's really not.
dave, you can not put it any better than that! :+1:for YEAQOTFWFHIAMO2M! (YOUR EXTREMELY AWESOME QUICK ON THE FLY WRITE-UP FOR HER IN A MATTER OF 2 MINUTES!)
subiedave said it best. Just the main thing is to have confidence and be assertive with the salesperson. If things are not going your way...then just simply walk away
Good pointers. The best one I've used (when they won't play ball on the price) is simply walking away and calling back at a later time. The sales guys know that if you walk off the lot, their chances of selling you the car go down astronomically. Just keep in mind that they want to sell the car more then you want to buy it.
