Ok, i looked at my exhaust and cant seem to find an o2 bung on it. Does anyone know if its hidden somewhere? If not where should i get it tapped?

    Thanks, Taras

    BTW, i did search....

No. I put mine in the catless pipe since it was the easiest to remove and I didn't have to mess with my jethot coatings.

It depends on if it's a v1 or v2 exhaust. The v2 has a bung on the downpipe for the addition of a wideband (and the v1 does not).

I am not sure if it is a v1 or v2. So if i have hi-flow cat, should i remove it and get it tapped right before the cat?

The v2 will have it's bung towards the end of the downpipe down by where it mates with the cat/testpipe. IIRC, it would be on the passenger side of the pipe.

I had Nathan weld a bung on my downpipe (I have a v1 stealthback).

No, Nathan was able to do it while it was still on the car.

Any pics at all? So you did not have to take the exhaust apart at all?

You don't have to take it off the car. I got a bung welded to mine about 24" back of the turbo. Any local exhaust shop will do it for cheap.

Cool, so whats the best place to put it in? I read that its better to have it further away from the turbo cause its too hot that might shorten the life of the sensor.

24"-36" back is acceptable. Also, at 3 or 9 O'Clock.

Yes, it must be between 9 and 3 so water can't collect on the sensor.

You could remove your rear o2 sensor and stick the wideband in there.
It doesn't get all goofy like the 32bit ecu

so the hole further back for the "rear" o2 sensor isnt too far back from the turbo for a wideband?

Too lazy to find on Nasioc about it,
But your car will run without it, plus you have the CEL deleted in your current map

The car will run fine, but you'll get lean readings on your WB02.

Get a bung in the DP 24-36" back of the turbo and between 3-9 O'Clock.

    /thread.

need a bung made the exhaust

Got a wide band and I am pretty sure I dont have a hole for it. Need someone to tap my downpipe and weld a bung on it that I have. I would like to pay somewhere around 50 or so.

What wideband did you get? some of them are able to wire into the ECU. so you could just use a stock mounting point.

    oh baby jesus

Taras I hope your next topic isn't "I blew my engine...."

Are you tuning your car or having someone do it for ya?

If you can, bring your dp into any muffler shop, otherwise I have a buddy that would do it for you.

OMG seriously, is this the second thread started about the same thing? Like I said in the other one...any exhaust shop will do it for cheap (like <$40). Just bring the tap that came with the WB.

gee, I am just asking for some help. I know I can bring it to a shop, but I thought maybe someone here can do it for cheaper. I would rather pay 20 to someone on the forum, than 40 to shop to pay their overhead.

Well you pretty much will have to bring it to a shop since you are going to need a hoist to lift the car. Otherwise you can remove your downpipe and have some random Joe weld the bung on.
