So, my boss sent me this gem....

Whether you own a dog or not, you must appreciate the efforts of this owner to sell her dog. Read the sales pitch below!

Free to good home. Excellent guard dog. Owner cannot afford to feed him anymore, as there are no more drug pushers, thieves, murderers, or molesters left in the neighborhood for him to eat. Most of them knew Jethro only by his Oriental street name, Ho Lee Schitt.

That's an English Photochopper... no, but I think some English Mastiffs have come close to 300lbs.

I hate owners who don't think about the commitment it takes to keep a dog in a forever home. I would never get rid of my dog, I would sell my house, car, skis, bike or whatever to keep my dog because that is the commitment I made when I got him.

+1. I work with RAGOM, a Golden Retriever organization. Can't say how few people have this mentality. Getting a dog should be like marriage. Only do it if you're willing to let death be the part.

I agree as well. We got our dog when we got engaged. That became our 'kid'. Good practice for the real thing. Now they are buddies. Who could ever give that up?

Although not as needy as dogs, I'd say the same goes with cats.

And then all we hear is crickets. ;)

Just messing with ya. ANY pet should be considered a part of the family and not taken lightly.

That dog is sick as hell! If i had a yard id take him for sure.. I really want a presa ( mastif) but i cant take on another dog as it is expensive to own the one i have. I do agree people shouldnt get animals unless they are willing to keep them for their life but just as everyone knows **** happens. Times are tough right now and if this dog needs a new home someone will and should step up! Good luck finding him a home hes quite the mastif...

That's funny because we did the same thing, practice with the dog before kid comes out. It turned out to be a lot easier with the dog :)
