dont delete bad topics Lock them

    I think that bad / offensive / topics like the MTV one today shouldnt be deleted but locked so no more can be posted... that way people can see who is being a jerk and what not... so then they can be put straight about bringing crap like that into the club... last thing I need is more know it alls and smart arses in here or around my life...

    I'm all in favor of deletion. I'd say about 75% of the posts in the last couple months could have been deleted and I wouldn't bat an eye.

    why deleting works better than locking:
    1.) removes it from the database. Including the attachments. Saves space.
    2.) there are no "why did my thread get locked" threads. When things are deleted most people just forget about them.
    3.) people can still see the crap.
    4.) people always want to see why something is locked...

    In conclusion: deleting unappropriate material > locking

    Well, next time there is a pic of some crap in a toilet, I will leave it up for everyone to see. You have to remeber that I do receive pm's about things that people do not like. I will admit it, I deleted about 5-6 thread and about a dozen replies that just don't need to be up. OT can be OT, but it will not be about the size of the crap in the toilet or do you fart when you pee. That is not needed and I will delete it. Flame on.
