wow.. I just got a warning on the forester site for telling someone that it would have taken less time for them to climb under their car and measure the diameter of the piping then it would to have posted his three posts... I am all for moderation but that was BS.... not to mention "was completely uncalled for and shows your stupidity and ignorance in dealing with people asking for help" was the explanation to why i got the warning.. little more offensive and attacking then my original suggestion... and I told them that.. so I expect a banning is coming my way
no points just a warning, but I thought it was BS seeing as the letter/warning was more offensive then my post whatever...
Wow, yeah, that moderator should have their position re-examined. Even if we're mad at you for something you said, I am sure we'd say it a lot nicer than that.
I like that site cause htey dont put up with attacks, but I wasnt attacking the guy... was just being funny.. but I guess it hit a dumb wall..... guy got all pansy and cried... threw his hands up and wanted to leave, then left a comment that he didnt need my comment to know to get under the car.. so i said then if you didnt need my suggestion then why did you post the damn question... f-ing morons
so it's like guy 1: "i need help with x thing" guy 2: "okay, do this this and this (explains in detail what to do)" guy 1: *thinks to himself* nah, that's too much work and says "no, I need help doing this" guy 3: *insert nate's post* guy 1: "You are not allowed to post snarky comments to me, even if I am lazy as hell, I'm gonna go tattle on you to the mods!!!" Mods get mad and yell at guy #3, when all he was trying to do was point out how simple the problem was to solve, and how lazy the OP is .. makes sense to me .. :roll:
No problem, You have offered help to many on here and I am sure you would do the same on there. Like I said over there, They don't like that advice because it is more work, more costly.........

exactly.... it takes a lot to get me worked up... but man if I ever got a reply from the heads of this forum that was worded like that I would be pissed too...
yeha I know.. I am leaving it alone... notice how his posts and all the other ones that should have gotten the warnings were left there.... well I guess I wont be attempting to make myself more active on that board then... I am stuck with this one
from the next mod.. possibly his wife... (she is nice to deal with though) see now htat is a totally professional reply or repremand... i am sorry I know Roo is respected etc, but his reply was just a reply that has hurt any respect I would hold for him, and to me he showed himself to be a hyprocritical ass... I am not sure if you are married to him?? or what the connection and I am sure he is a top bloke... but his unprofessional attitude and reply was far worse then anything I wrote to the poster of that thread... and to add to that then he has deleted any of the replies that showed him up/pointed out the hypocrisy, then of course none of the posts in that thread that actually were sarcastic or said the exact same thing I did got warnings... again hypocrisy anyways.. I will let it go.. I like the moderation typically on this forum that allows for comfortable searching etc, but babying people on the internets is pointless and futile... some people need thicker skin.. I mean he even confessed that he got under and measured it with a tape without my advice, so why was my advice so offensive when it was EXACTLY what he ended up doing???? at least you have approached this well and in a way that shows why you are one of the few in charge... ps... the ecu works great but I think I am going to send my old one in and then get a local guy to tune it for smoother power and torque, and more of both
