Double Security Blink?

Can anyone tell me what it is and how can I fix it? I haven't looked in the manual yet but I must of disabled something some how.. Any feedback would be great... Thanks

 

If you have the security lite blinking and you want it off you have to turn the key from the off to on postion over and over and it will go off. I think thats what you are trying to do right?

 

i was just reading the maual a couple days ago. It says something about it in there...i know it beeps a couple times if it was tripped.

 

It stays blinking even if the key is in, until you turn the key into the ignition(i think the position when the CEL comes one?)..

I don't think it was tripped.. I know about that one... 3 beeps when you unlock/disable alarm...

 

Isn't the double blink valet mode? I know that's what it means on my '99. Just press the button/light when the car is on or running and it should go back to normal mode. Another sign you are in valet mode (again on older 'rus) is that you only get one chirp when you lock as opposed to two in normal mode.

 

Is it a constant double blinking? That is how mine is, and if what you say is true, I'll try it...

 

Yeah, it's a constant double blink when it's in valet mode. So, if your car is '02 or newer, there's probably a different method to get it out of valet mode. On mine the security light is also a button, and you can just push it.

 

I will try everything and let you guys know...

 

Wait there's a valet mode built in, as in a lower rev limit and such?

 

I think it's just for the alarm. I'm pretty sure it doesn't lower the rev limit, at least on my car it doesn't seem to.

 

Ok, I got it out of valet mode... It seems you have to open the driver door first then hold the Disarm button for 2 seconds then the flashing stops... thanks for helping out
