Drag Race Test Day @ Rock Falls Raceway Sept 26/27

I am headed down to this with my cousin and a few of the other techs @ BMW. Looks like a good time. I think a group of us are driving down there around 7am or 8am on saturday.

great time to check out what your car can do, have fun or just watch.

I believe you can run as many times as you want until 3pm
then they do bracket races.

Try getting 25+ runs in at Brainerd or any other drag strip for the price you pay.

not sure. I am not 100% that i am going to drag, I might just play pit crew for my cousin. He needs the WRX to carry his tools and tires down there. If anyone is interested in a car parade we are leaving my house around 8am and heading to hudson to meet up with the other BMW techs. Then we are going to the track. assuming it isn't cancelled.

 

I would like to meet up for the car parade, so where exactly in hudson? if you have an address cuz i would be using my GPS to guide my en what time does the parade take off?

 

I'll be swinging by to get Ofspunk in NSP, then we will head out to Charlie's house in Hudson to meet. I don't have directions yet. Best bet would be to meet us in NSP if you want to join the parade.

Yeah looks like rain. There are more drags to go to this year if we get rained out.

not sure. sorry, I would assume there will be... but i have never been there.

You get more of an import turnout on compact days. There's maybe just a handful of imports that show up on bracket days if any at all.

 

booooo. I haven't gotten to see any racing all season. I'm suffering from withdraws.

 

Sounds like its not worth it for me to go if there is slim chance of seeing imports compete.

yeah, we are only testing Zero's car saturday.... and the other BWM people(s) that are coming down.

 

I hope to see you tomorrow at firestone....then will make a decision however, the weather is still the biggest factor! the forecast still claims scattered thunder storms in eau claire.

 

I'll be there, my engine builder is running his 60's Mustang, it's a black 4 spd car running mid 10's. Also my Wife's uncle will be there running an 80 Camaro, orange/red in color hopefully running high 11's.
