Leaks, Underbody rust, and possibly a car fax. Heard of some people swapping clusters for lower mileage ones.

I know this particular owner well and they have owned the car for a number of years. Good advice nonetheless, thanks.

Well, I am back from looking at the car. What I found: 105k mile 2 owner car. Car is an automatic. No mods. Needs cv axle drivers front, oil leak from valve cover gasket and something leaking oil around the turbo. runs and drives fine with a fair degree of wheel vibration at highway speed. Also paint is fairly faded with the hood and quarter panel needing a respray. Mirror has a chunk out of it, both rear hatch struts are shot. But...zero rust, and the body is straight as can be. Lets say tires and brakes are good. $1500?

What year? Youd deff want the 6 bolt motor (no crank walk). I believe the 91's and 92's came with the 6 bolt, and 93+ was the 7 bolt. If the basic drive line seems solid, then it's worth the $1500. After purchase, I would deff change the timing blet, water pump, and tensioners. Timing belts are notorious for failing on dsm's, however I'm sure you know that. Good luck!
