Attention everyone, MNSOC will not be affiliated with the after hours. Similar to the LaXCruise situation, where the daytime event was a family affair and the after hours stuff was at the discretion of those who wished to participate. Same as in previous years, we will make sure there are enough rooms at Barker's Island Inn for anyone that wishes to stay. If you intend to reserve a room, please reply to this thread and indicate how many people you intend to have in your room and who you are rooming with. Typically, in the past, the after hours portion of the Duluth Trip was filled with alcohol consumption and shenanigans. This year will likely be no different. But you are NOT there representing MNSOC. So what you do bears upon your own character, not that of the Minnesota Subie Owner's Club or it's members or staff. You are adults and you can make your own choices. I'm not saying don't be beligerent, I'm simply saying that if you are going to be beligerent, don't name drop MNSOC. I'll let Justin chime in when he gets on later to collect names and such. I definetly want us to have our own room, and none of this "first come, first serve" crap that happened last year. If i am paying for a king room, you better have my name down to reserve it, I'm not getting stuck with a 2-bed room again because I got there 10 minutes late and all the people who got there before me said they had reservations for the king room. That was not something I needed last year.
Me and Possible the gf so King room please, but honestly those who don't need them should not apply. I would like to come back to a room alone is all. Also I am with Aegis on the rules.
i dont know where my other post went but i'm confused as to what the objective is to this thread. i will be signing up people to go and for hotel room assignments in the main duluth trip thread. i just see this thread confusing everyone.
The reason being I want to separate the after hours hotel stuff from the main event. Similar to what we did with LaX. If you have questions you can PM me directly. But this is how it will be for MNSOC to have their name on it. To be fair, I've tried to find you online for a week to let you know about this. I wanted to get things tidy'd up before it got too big.
i can understand that bud, but having 2 threads about it is just a bit confusing to me....but as long as everyone else isnt confused then i really dont care. i'm to busy with work these days to be on the net much....however like most people i do have a cell phone too as long as one person can grow up a bit and have a little responsibilty, there shouldnt be a problem.
I've been too busy to call, and the one time I did I got no answer No biggie. This is how it worked best in my mind. It separates the shenanigans portion of hte trip from the MNSOC portion of the trip. And that is a good thing. And it worked great for LaX.
I don't see a problem with a seperate thread. It's just an announcement basically. It's good for the people who aren't keeping up with the other, longer thread about the event.
i'll say im with nasioc if I do something stupid... just kidding, im more of a watcher than anything, but we will be on our best behavior.
