Duluth Trip, Aftermath (stories/pics/vids)

the duluth trip was alot of fun. there are hundred of pictures, and quite a bit of video i believe. we went dont to park place for some pics then up to skyline dr. (needless to say we womped mnsrt4 in #/picture awsome ness)

great trip, would love to do it again. here are some pics.

i wihs i would have stayed the extra 40 min to see the big puddles pete told me about. it would have been AWSOME! but i had to do my homework :-(. more stories pls (since i left early), did you guys get some videos of the off roading (after i left)

Good stories...

If you look at the picture of my car (silver RS) you will notice something coming down from the front of the car, that's my skid plate. I hit a huge rock in a puddle and it folded back under itself. Kinda sucks but it will make a nice decoration on my wall

 

pete told me you hit the rock. thats too bad to hear. but it looks like the skid plate did its thing and you didnt break something more important.

and who brought a floor jack w/ them?

 

ME!!! If I'm going to be goofing around I'll just throw it in there

 

Mine's in my car at all times. :lol: Ya never know what could happen.

 

i had enough trouble with just having a tow strap and jumper cables flying around in my trunk made hella racket. (maybe cause i was geting some air) but i cant imagine what kind of internal damage i would get from having a floor jack in my car.

i found out tonight, some mud did seep in thru the rear floor area... but not too much, considering the water went over the windshield!!!!!!! :shock:

yeah, it was definitely fun, nice to meet all of you guys. i was hoping for some more spirited driving on sat, skyline was fun just too darn rough :lol:

Glad to hear the first annual (hint 8) ) duluth trip was a success! I was at a driving school I've been planning to be at for several months so couldn't make it, but I'll be there next year... looking forward to seeing some video (I might have some to share, we'll see.)

Erik that place was awsome i REALLY wish i didnt have to go early. but i prolly would have busted somthing (ie oil pan) on a rock. however i would for sho! be up for another trip there. i am SO glad i raised my car those 2". 2" made a HUGE difference in strut travel and me not breaking anything (that i know of)

it sounds like you guys had a blast up at gilbert, i would have loved to have gone. i wanna see this video about the snorkel test. also whats this "stick" story? EDIT: i have seen pics of the water level, it is intense!

this trip could almost be bi anual! think the snow would stop us?

Glad to hear about the turnout and the fun everyone had! It's alright that I didn't make it. I dunno what I could have done.....ahhaha doughnuts? bahh.....

.......I was in Sheboygan, WI at the time.....taking apart a DOHC EJ25 to change head gaskets.....but anyway.... I'm looking forward to that Sunday drive though!
