For those curious about the difference between RS Motors' Mustang and the new Dyno Dynamics setups, I've matched up the scales of the two printouts and overlaid them to get a decent comparison of these two different dyno manufacturers. The Mustang data is the large blue/green lines (green is TQ, blue is HP), while the Dyno Dynamics data is the skinny lines. The Dyno Dynamics printouts each show 3 separate runs.

Note: Everyone already knows that different dynos read differently, and that a dyno should be used only as a tuning tool, not to compare appendages. However, I think this data could be useful for people.

    Any comments?

The Mustang pulls were done about a month ago, however it was in pretty similar temps (low 40s, IIRC)

Cool, Its interesting seeing the comparison between the 2 dynos and how the two interpret power.

Athough its somewhat pointless, knowing its impossible to replicate a dyno run. There are just far too many variables that come into play. Even the 3 back to back to back runs that everyone made are different from one another because of the many uncontrollable and minute variables.

I guess if I want bragging numbers, I have to go to RS then :)

Good job! That comparison helps clarify more than not of the two dynos, but I agree with the statement that there are too many variables that will cause inconsistency with the graphs. I'll spend a little more time on the graphs later. :)

Can't wait to see how mine turns out after the tune day with Topspeed. My car's graph looks like a heartbeat up, down, up down, But still got decent #'s on the Mustang about 260hp and 240 tq. without a real dyno protune. (mail ordered Ecutek through Dynocomp).

No, if you want to brag, you go find a Dynapack and do pulls on that. If you want to claim numbers so inflated that you look like a tardbag, you hit up an AWD Dynojet.
