3 pulls for $40 with wide-band printouts. M-F 10am to 4pm only. Now thru September 8th. Come on in and get your car base-lined before your late fall/early winter modifications begin. We feature an industry leading Dyno Dynamics awd chassis dyno. Please phone ahead to schedule an appointment.
awesome! I wish i had $40 to spend. i would love to get my car base lined. you have a Dyno Dynamics dyno right?
OK, so I'm new to dyno, tuning, pulls, etc. How much would this help me if I'm needing a "pro tune"? I just had a 20g, injectors, intake, big TMIC installed. I'm running a map from a friend that hand the same parts on his car (plus he had headers/up pipe and BOV) Could I use 3 dyno pulls and log them to help with a tune, or would it be better to just go right to the tune?
Sure wish I was still available during the day on weekdays. I have been looking for a good excuse to compare the three dynos in town. Oh well.
LSE Performance 13915 Radium ST NW Suite C Ramsey, MN 55303 763-428-9800 http://www.lseperformance.com/ For anyone who has trouble finding anything. I will warn you though- this dyno reads low compared to RS, and much lower than MAP's dyno. I have been on all of them, and even after getting tuned on LSE's dyno, I got lower numbers on their dyno than I got at RS. It is a great shop and great dyno to get pulls on.
whenever my car runs right, i'll be over there. and if anyone has dynos of any n/a subies, i wouldnt mind seeing them and comparing them
damn, might have to squeeze one more trip down there this summer before the car goes under the knife. I'm interested in doing a before and after dyno pull with Grimmspeeds intake mani spacers.....possible to install those somewhere between the 3 pulls?
Let us know what you guys get, please. I'd like to do this shortly; probably right before the next Sport compact race day at Slippery Falls.
i got 220awhp on their dyno. i have a vf34p&p, 650cc, Sti TMIC, BPM tbe, step colder plugs, f. pump, and uppipe
^same VF34 w/o PnP, Pinks, fuel pump, Perrin TMIC, TBE...255whp & wtq (same Dyno) Suprisely the big restriction was the TMIC...the STi is junk compared to the Perrin/TurboXS/APS..etc..You could probably push another 25-30whp when u replace your STi TMIC
i have been wondering that. That will be for sure part of my next upgrade if i ever feel the need for more power....which would be more then likely:biggrin:
We do track all dyno numbers. The sale is I am only tuning at night now so it gives John and the rest of the crew stuff to do on the rollers during the day. John is also an EFI certified tuner as well, I just hog the rollers. We do offer Subaru tuning (openecu) as well.
well...this is nice! well..i've been looking foward to dynoing my impreza! hopefully i can hit the 200 mark....well lets see about the next following week.....
I got mine done today, and will probably be getting more done very soon. Todays numbers were satisfactory. More to come!
I got a bigger turbo, bigger TMIC, bigger injectors, bigger TBE, bigger inlet hose, better bc, better intake, Mahel pistons, and 1 step colder plugs. LOL Base line at this time 262 tq and 291 whp. I'll paste in the dyno graph when I get home, but this things wants more rev's. And I want more torque!
+1 I think I am going to try and get in on Friday to run some pulls with my buddy from work. He is rocking a slightly modified 2007 civic si, and I just want to get another dyno's opinion of my setup since I got it done at DB in Rogers, 269 hp and about 240trq. Completely a sub topic, but.... in your opinion, where is the best place, for the money and drive it would take to get there, to get an evo 16g setup tuned right.
Dream and friends, this is a baseline from my current setup. I took advantage of LSE's dyno promotion due to me not having a wideband available. I'm hoping to have more good news in the next few weeks. Not that its that big of a deal, but I dont want to start setting everyones expectations, so more details and suspense will follow. Cheech
Walls of TVS: Here is what turbo I had! In my case the recent advancements were premature. LOL My stock turbo started smoking and on its way out the door and I just happend to have a brand new DB20G in storage. When we last met at DCTC I was running that DB20g, currently IMO its the best turbo for a technical short to medium track layout. Lots of great linear usable power to sqeeze on thru the turns. Considering this with improved suspension setting and modiflying my driving I might yield better results when chasing the Atom. LOL  I hope to have another TOUGE opportunity in the next few events left in the season to see if I can improve my current standings.
Hopefully it is one of the new DB20g's and not the older ones. You definitly want the large flapper door and 8cm hotside. if it is a old DB turbo, get ready for boost creep city. Discopope got rid of his for that reason. Once you start pushing the turbo a little bit, you get some serious boost creep. Thor, drive down to P&L in Chicago. Russ
Russ, I appreciate the advice. No worries though, its no longer in the car. Considering the short amount of time I had that turbo in the car, I dont recall noticing those issues, possibly I didnt know what to look for or the fact that like someone else has mentioned I'm only at 80% wot. I really enjoyed that turbo and Fonger's I'm only a level 1 techy, I am having technical difficulty attaching the graph. But you have the number, that should safice for now. LOL
Not ALL DB20G's had boost creep, just because Disco has issues doesnt mean all the turbo's creep. I mean, how many hundred's of people run that turbo with no issues. Good luck Chong, I say go 30R with a top mount!
Good to know. THe DB20G seems to be where it's at now days for 20Gs. I'm sure that'll all change when I'm ready to start swapping go fast parts. For now it's all going in to suspension. :yumyum:
So my buddy and I managed to sneak in the last day of the LSE deal and got some pulls on our cars. My buddy's 06 civic SI put down 171 whp on the dyno with a CAI. Mine.... mine, was disappointing. I got tuned back in the early spring over at DB with my new turbo setup. I put down 267 whp with a 16G evo III, respectible. Tonight something wasn't right. I dynoed at 235 whp and my AFR's were literally off the scales on the rich side (way below 10 at about 4500 rpms all the way to redline). Not what I was hoping for. Now, can the tune that I got at DB change that much in that amount of time? Or, could running rich be a sign that something is worn out or broken? I need to save the wounded wagon, who has some ideas?
Do you have modded injectors? I'll bet that your long term fuel trim is probably in the +12% range which will certainly throw a target 11:1 afr to the rich side of 10:1.
As promised here is the latest: My last tune got me just a little more from before, nothing crazy, but thats fine, I'll live to fight another day. I am having a hard time posting the graph so unless someone wants to help I'll just tell you all about it. This setup makes the car really nice to drive, passing and freeway enterance is a snap. My only complaint is the STI does not have enough rev's and the right gear ratio for these types of setup, a longer gear ratio and higher rev would make the car ideal for the twisties. I got it tuned by Dom aka getadomtune.com. He is a very competant guy, seems to know what he's doing. It was a good experience, it gave me an opportunity to work with OpenECU and it was nice to have some country road to enjoy the open road, dont worry cow's and sheep were on the fenced side of the road. I know everyone is expect more from this turbo and eventually I would like get more power out, but currently I need it to be reliable till winter when I can explore other options and have some enhancements done. For a guy who enjoys life thru the fast corners the car is plenty to handle, more will come after I relearn to drive this monster. I have two more events left for the summer season this year and will find out how the new power band holds after dialing in the suspension.
