I did Pine Tree a long, long time ago. One of the best weeks of camping I've ever been through. We survived a near miss with a tornado that touched down only a few miles north of us. That night did carry torrential rains and the loudest thunder I've ever heard in my life. We were in the "toilet bowl" site, the one downhill (downhill!) from the latrine in that NE corner of the camps. The rain left almost a foot of standing water so for our site project we built boardwalks and a platform for our dining area. I think it is still regarded as one of the best projects they'd ever seen done for a campsite at PT. For us it was just a way to keep dry

We do our conclaves out at Ajawah. I'm sure some of you are familiar with that camp. I've been going to that same one for over ten years, it's also one of the best trips to make.

Any of you stay at Voyageurs at Many Point in the past several years? My brother was a counselor up there for a few years, as were several others from our troop.

you worked in the scout shop? i have a question for you. are scout shorts marked at the store to $30 a pair, or do you get them that way? i have alwasy been puzzled to why those are so expensive. i mean sure they are indestrutible, but come on $30.

Ajawah... Awesome!!! that's our Troops camping ground. It's shared by two troops, Troop 33 and Troop 100. The camp ground is own by Westminister in DT Mpls.

I've been camping at Ajawah since 1986... I dropped out of scouting after my Life rank in 1991. Man, I'm old :p
